CITY OF PALM DESERT BUSINESS SUPPORT CENTER
The City of Palm Desert has created the Business Support Center to assist with City issues and provide service amenities to the business community. The Center has support and license personnel.
The Business Support Center's mission is to assist with business attraction, expansion and retention.
Continually marketing the City to retail and service businesses, the staff works with brokers to fill existing locations and to develop commercially zoned land. Extensive research helps define niche markets that would be successful in the Palm Desert business mix. Once a business has decided to locate here, the Center staff continues to assist with the permitting and licensing processes. Developers also use the services of the Center for demographic research and facilitation of the development process.
Expansion and retention services include providing information on vacancies, demographics, business to business mailing lists and liaison work with City and county agencies.

We offer many opportunities for community members to improve their skills through professional development workshops and not-for-credit certificate programs. The goal is to offer high-quality learning opportunities that support your professional development or life-long learning objectives.
From retail skills, to computer skills, and management skills, we have created offerings for a changing community and a 21st century workforce. Explore new career opportunities, discover new technologies, expand your computer skills, learn a new language, or attend an educational seminar. Our Community Education program offers over 100 open-enrollment courses a year.
