Ribbon Cuttings

Are you open for business? Let our Ambassador team know, so they can come over with the big scissors and welcoming handshakes to congratulate you on opening your doors to the community and document it with a picture and inclusion of your opening in the next Chamber publication. Ribbon Cuttings are Free and can be as big or small as you like. Invite your friends, employees, family members, neighboring businesses, clients, and the press to your ribbon cutting. It is all up to you. Visit our Media Links page to find means of contact with the Press, Radio, and television media outlets.

Some quick guidelines to hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Palm Desert Chamber Ambassadors:

To be eligible for a Ribbon Cutting: Your business must be physically located in Palm Desert and must be a new business, newly remodeled business, recently relocated business or under new ownership. Since these occasions are primarily photo opportunities, ribbon cuttings are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00pm

To Request a Date: Requests must be received and confirmed at least one month in advance. The Chamber will invite the Ambassadors, include on Chamber online calendar, provide the Red Ribbon, big commemorative scissors and a photographer. We encourage you to invite as many people as you wish, and for you to contact the Media regarding your opening (they respond better to personal invitations from the actual business owners) Your photo will be posted on our website for one month, and included in the next Chamber newsletter publication.
