Ambassadors AMBASSADORS
Represent the Chamber at mixers, ribbon cuttings and special events. As the official Chamber "hosts" at a wide variety of functions, Ambassadors welcome new members and assist with registration, raffle drawings and other volunteer duties. Regular recognitions include "Ambassador of the Month" and "Ambassador of the Year." "Ambassador of the Year." Meetings are held at 4:30pm every 3rd Wednesday at the Mixer location for the month.

Business Expo BUSINESS EXPO
Help plan and promote the annual event that showcases member businesses. Held in a local convention facility in late September, the business expo draws nearly 200 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors. The ad-hoc committee is responsible for organizing the event, developing special features and assisting expo day. Meetings are held June through September. This years event to be held at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Golf Cart Parade GOLF CART PARADE
The Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade is a community wide event held on a Sunday in late October. The committee assists with all aspects of parade planning including theme, sponsors, charity selection, entries, judging, vendors, entertainment and promotion. The committee meets on Wednesdays monthly, then weekly through parade day.

Desert Willow GOLF TOURNAMENT
Help plan and promote this popular spring time event. This years tournament will be held on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th 2008) at the Classic Club, home of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. This ad-hoc committee is responsible for details associated with the tournament as well as promoting it to area golfers. Meetings are held February through May.

Government Affairs LEGISLATIVE ACTION
Develop the Chamber's legislative platform, study pending legislation and recommend Chamber positions. A dynamic standing committee, members regularly debate various sides of an issue prior to recommending Board of Director action. Meets the third Monday of each month, 3:30 pm, Chamber office.

Peace Officer & Public Safety Appreciation Day PEACE OFFICER & PUBLIC SAFETY APPRECIATION DAY LUNCHEON
Help plan and promote this prestigious annual awards event. Held the Tuesday preceding Thanksgiving each year, this valley wide event honors outstanding fire, police and emergency personnel. The committee is responsible for sponsorships, promotion, program ideas, securing honorary chairman, selecting emcee, and general logistics. This ad-hoc committee meets July through November.

Installation INSTALLATION AND AWARDS DINNER
Help plan the Chamber's annual installation of officers event. The annual June event honors outstanding Chamber members and volunteers as well. The ad-hoc committee assists with planning and promotion of a fun evening that often features themes and surprises. Meetings are April through June.
